Our unique concept for Burnit Studio was born out of
necessity. When we realized that if we couldn't view some of our
own videotapes, (in one case because we no longer had a camera of that type)
then just about everybody must be having similar problems! We've
worked for many years in the television and film business, (Robert is an
international broadcast executive and Amy is a film editor) and we still didn't have the
technology to deal with all of our media effectively.
From there, the concept expanded....and expanded.
We needed to provide a multi-service, creative and inviting space to work and
play with all of the various format videotapes, old slides and prints, digital
photos, and more. We needed to make technology easy and accessible.
We needed to have an espresso bar and a children's play area!
Burnit Studio is a combination of the things we know
how to do best. Besides previously owning a post production studio in
Miami, Amy has been a teacher of editing and special effects all over the
Americas and Europe, representing Tektronix and other manufacturers.
Robert has been a respected executive in the broadcast electronics field for
many years with prestigious firms such as Tektronix and IBM , and has personally designed and installed our super-fast network
of computers and software. Best of all, we love making movies too. We can't wait to
show you.
